Curves and Rules Don’t Mix

we determine the shape of beauty

I can’t tell you how much I love fashion. You know I particularly love to mix up modern and vintage styles, it’s just so much fun. But there is a challenge to styling my body — the fact that my curves and size don’t always mix with the cutest clothing options out there.

So I think it’s important to throw out the fashion rule book when it comes to plus sized ladies, and figure out just exactly what silhouettes and clothing works for us. So would you like to join me in chatting about this very topic (and how loving yourself and your personality are the first ways you discover your style) for a Twitter chat today at 2pm EST?

I would love to see you there!

Here are all the details:

—————–

“Don’t wear white after Labor Day.”
“Stay away from horizontal stripes.”
“Don’t mix black and navy.”

Do these sound familiar? Chances are you’ve been told at least one of these “fashion rules” before. But when it comes to fashion, rules were made to be broken! And especially for the majority of women in this country who don’t fit a size-zero mold!

Curvation believes that curvy isn’t a size or a shape, but an attitude!

The Motherhood is excited to team up with Curvation for a Twitter party where women can share ideas about how they can dress and feel their very best, and I’ll be joining them tomorrow. Join the conversation as we rewrite our own beauty and fashion rules!

Hashtag: #ShapeofBeauty

Prizes: Five prizes will be awarded to randomly selected participants who answer trivia questions correctly. Each prize includes a Walmart gift card and Curvation product. (Prize eligibility: Entrants must be residents of the U.S. and over the age of 18.)

Hosts: @theMotherhood, @CooperMunroe, @EmilyMcKhann, @TheMotherhood25 (will be asking trivia questions)

My fellow co-hosts:

Piera, Jolly Mom - @JollyMom

I am being compensated for my part in this project, but y’all know how I love to dish fashion, and my opinions are all my own.
