Dress for the day: Making it work

Post image for Dress for the day: Making it work

I threw on an outfit after our days of sickness, somehow followed that up with red lipstick, amazingly then agreed to some photos, and then realized that I had a formula for getting ready. For getting dressed for my day, even when my day involves total exhaustion.

And then the boys had some fun behind me when I was trying to be serious (or possibly about to throw-up again). I think this was right before I started cracking up.

And hey guess what? I’m a contributor to a new fun collaborative site called Together in 10 – a site with stylish moms sharing outfits they pulled together in 10 minutes. They also share fun tips and ideas, so head on over today and read about that formula I mentioned — my 3 tips for style when you are too tired to care (and see details about my outfit – including a cardigan hack I did!).

I love your “thrown together” outfit. Doesn’t look that way at all :) I, on the other hand, usually take forever — not to get ready (which I can do in a jiffy), but to plan my outfit in the first place. My DFTD post this week, though, features an outfit I threw on at the last minute, totally thinking it wouldn’t work, but which I wound up loving. So I’ll definitely be heading over to your new site!

Your boys in the background are great! I’m so impressed you got dressed! When I’m sick there’s very little chance of me getting out of my pj’s. But lipstick will always make me feel better! :)

Oh, that picture is too funny! I bet taking serious outfit pictures is a little more challenging with fun-loving kids hanging around all the time!

Oh, friend. How inspiring are you?! I am perpetually exhausted, but I think I could get on board with this. I need red lipstick. Stat. You are so GORGEOUS.
